The format is considered as a Twenty20 regional Cricket League, which will entertain us from 15th August, 2018 to 9th September, 2018.

The karnataka Premier League enacted by the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) in August 2009, which was casted after the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Mantri Developers was the very first Title sponsor, who paid ₹110 million (US$1.6 million) for 5 years. Then after, KPL was freezed for 3 years with cbtf boss, 2011, 2012 and 2013. In 2014, it had a mind blasting come back with the third edition of Karnataka Premier League (KPL) started the ball rolling in Mysore on 28 August (Thursday). 

The eight teams which will showcase their talent on the land of Southern India are :-
Mysuru Warriors, Hubli Tigers, Belagavi Panthers, Bellary Tuskers, Bijapur Bulls, Namma Shivamogga, Mangalore United, and Rockstars.
